I've been photographing things on and off since my late teens, albeit with some extended layoff periods when money for film and developing was too tight. The advent of digital (and an increase in disposable income) changed all that and I now have an array of cameras.

My main camera is a Nikon D200, a gorgeous bit of kit which I don't use to half its potential. Backup to that is a Nikon D70, tried and tested. Lenses are the Nikon 18-50, the Nikon 70-300, the Sigma 170-500 telephoto and the Sigma 10-20 wide-angle. I also have a set of three Kenko extension tubes for macro work. For underwater work I have an Olympus 5050z with housing and a Nikonos V, should I ever feel ready to going back to film.

I don't tend to over process photographs - crop a little and then juggle the white balance and saturation levels, and the crucial thing is still to get the photograph right at point of taking rather than on the laptop afterwards.
